As part of a small and friendly team the successful applicant will research and write descriptions for books and related paper artefacts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for rare and second-hand books, and a strong understanding of book history and bibliography. Other essential skills will include attention to detail, good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work to deadlines.
The role will also involve valuation work and dealing with customers, so candidates will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and good computer literacy.
