Following the latest UK Government announcement, we are now subject to Tier 5 restrictions. We had hoped to have pre-booked viewings for the two January sales but unfortunately that is no longer possible. The heavily illustrated catalogues for both sales are online in various formats and printed catalogues may be had for £15 each (post inclusive). We would encourage customers to ask us for additional information and images where required. If a phone call or video call would be easier to assist remote viewing we are happy to arrange that too.
Bids for our sales can be placed in the usual way: by leaving commission bids by email, telephone or via our website, by booking telephone bids, or by live online bidding through our own website, the-saleroom.com or invaluable.com (subject to usual fees and conditions).
Dominic Winter Auctioneers have put in place social distancing, temperature testing, strict cleaning protocols and other measures in line with government legislation. Please bear in mind you can only travel to visit us if your tier restrictions allow. Please check with government guidelines before you travel.
Staff office hours will continue to be Monday-Friday: 9.30-5.30. Under Tier 5 restrictions no customers will be allowed to enter the building for any purpose. Please plan your journeys accordingly. All visitors wishing to collect paid-for purchases should make a ‘click and collect’ appointment and your purchases will be brought to you in our car park when you arrive. Staff and visitors are asked to observe covid-secure protocols at all times: please wear a mask, follow social distancing, use hand sanitiser and follow any other instructions given by our staff.
Any customers wishing to drop off material for auction will also need to discuss the consignment first and make an appointment with a specific valuer. The procedure will be similar to collections with a consignment receipt prepared while the items are brought into the building. More detailed valuations and suggested sale dates and reserves will then be provided by phone and email once we have had time to examine the consignments. Remote valuations by email and phone are still encouraged in the usual way. If you would like a video call valuation please let us know and we will be glad to help. We will also continue to offer home valuations in Tier 5 areas when it is safe and sensible to do so.
For all collection and delivery appointments and enquiries please contact Jenny Bradley: email@example.com / 01285 860006.
Please visit our website for regular updates. In the meantime, we wish you a safe and healthy new year and thank you for your continued interest and support. We hope to see many you again before long.
