colour lithograph frontispiece to each, folding colour map, publisher's catalogue at end of volume II, light marginal toning, library stamps to front endpapers, previous owner signature, hinges a little tender, original blue blindstamped cloth, small indentations to volume I edges, small split to volume II upper joint, a little rubbed, 8vo
Hill 1546; Howes S271; Sabin 78867. Seemann was the naturalist aboard the Herald, which set out to measure the hydrography of the Pacific Ocean and subsequently searched for the lost Franklin Arctic expedition.
